Our boy was wondering for weeks what kind of birds there would be in Prachuab. He had his Papa look up on the internet what other birders saw. He scoured his bird books and wrote a perspective list of what he hoped to see. And then, on arrival in Bangkok, his Auntie and Uncle bought him a book on birds in Thailand. Was he ever thrilled. He was not disappointed with the birds in Prachuab — I think he saw 11 new birds. My favorite was the Greater Racket-Tailed Drongo — see the above picture — it’s not clear but you can see the two long tail feathers coming down about a foot long and then spreading out into a plume.
